Locally sourced Scottish Ready to Burn Larch logs, kiln dried to below 15% moisture content. Larch is a soft wood that has a better heat output than many hardwoods, a great sustainable option.
Each net is hand packed in our 30 litre net bag, containing between between 7 large logs and 10 medium logs, most commercial brands sell in quantities of 16 litres.
Starting the fire we recommend using our eco friendly firelighters and and kindling, once burnt down a bit put your Larch logs into your wood burner. Once the fire is hot and has some coal we would recommend moving onto our Birch hardwood. Use our most solid hardwood, Oak Bourbon Staves, to fill the room with heat quickly, or stack them on top of each other to keep the fire burning for longer. Our Staves are the thickest on the market and a third of the price to our other woods.
Larch has a crackle and flare every minute or so - it is not meant for open fires and is best burnt inside a wood stove. Our Birch and Oak are fine for open fires and are a more silent burn.
